#10: which song?
#78: C-O-O-L R-I-D-E-R... ;)
#84: what was it for?
This meme is fun! But I'm greedy, and want the stories behind the bolding. :D
And is there one of these that you're still particularly eager to do?
Sarah~ #10-- In addition to a few small solos in church choir, I sang and danced a solo as Mistress Mary in a teacher-created school play about Mother Goose. (She had to adjust the key of the tune to match my voice... it wasn't pretty! Ha!)
#78-- :)
#84-- Lots of school events, graduation, marriage, etc.
You were so quick with commenting that I've since updated #5 and #87.
There are several (as well as many that aren't on this list) that I'd really like to do. But the two that stand out at this moment are: go whale watching and visit London.
I agree with wanting to know the stories-- it's loads of fun to learn about each other! There were things I'd love to add to the list, too. Maybe some other post....
A good meme. I enjoy learning more about folks this way. I may do this one myself at some point.
Thanks for sharing this Aine. I now realise just how much travelling I have yet to do in my life. So many wonderful experiences yet to happen.
Onward to adventure!
Some of these things I could put on my bucket list - not that I have plans of kicking it any time soon.
This was fun. Got to know a little about you and Vesper. Oh, btw --- what famous person did you meet? I met Elvis - "Thank ya, thank ya very much."
Charles~ It's an easy post, too! :)
Janey~ Yay-- adventure! I'm waiting for the kids to grow a bit more.... I hope to travel much more in my lifetime.
Kaye~ Wow, Elvis-- sounds like an interesting story!
Believe it or not, I met Richard Nixon. When I was 16, volunteering as a candystriper on my local hospital's OB ward, he walked in while I was making a bed. Shook my hand and said a few words about the good work I was doing. His grandaughter had just given birth, so he was visiting (along with the secret service entourage). The staff and I had a laugh that they marked the baby's bassinet "baby X"-- as if we didn't know whose it was....
:0
Had food poisoning. Yeah, you sidestepped that one nicely. ;)
Swam in the Great Salt Lake. That one sounds like fun. Maybe I can finally float worth a damn. Wanna go?
Thanks for sharing, Aine!
Ah, No. 78 must've been fabulous!
:-)
Jason~ Yes, I did-- I wish I could say my survival instincts were shouting at me that night, but nothing so dramatic. I just don't like that canned stuff... ;)
Anytime you're ready, Jason! I'm dying to travel more. I'd love to float with you (rather than performing my usual rock imitation). You know me-- I want to experience everything once!
:)
Vesper~ Yes-- it is! Once the youngest is off to college Jason and I have dreams of traveling across the country on our bike.
Oh, I'm totally stealing this from you Aine, I hope you don't mind.
Check out my version within a couple of hours from now.
;)
Szelsofa~ Oh good! I'll definitely stop over!
I've been catching up on my reading here...
Thought I was over memes but I'm so going to steal this.
